We are located just west of Clark, next to VCC, between Glen and Windsor on a quiet stretch of Broadway. People often mention they're surprised to find us here. The answer as to why is simple; we offer a neighbourhood alternative to salons you might otherwise find in busy commercial areas. Our standard is high, with well-trained stylists who offer quality service in a relaxed environment... and no need to pay for parking either.
New clients are welcome, but in the case of longer, thicker hair, only by named referral - e.g. from an existing client.
The Hairdresser
Stephan
Owner/Stylist
Trimming locks for centuries and wowing with scintillating conversation. Stephan's clientele consists of all ages, many of whom have come to him for over 30 years. Read more about me by clicking on my very handsome image. 😆
(While they work out of the Prickly Scot Hair Lounge, other stylists shown below operate businesses independently and may not be booked through this site).
Heige
Stylist
Heige has a love for creating art, a medium that she loves is the hair canvas. Whatever it takes, precision cutting – freeform – technical construct – elegance - structure Boho Chic – you can be assured that you will leave looking and feeling not just beautiful but you might end up in her paintings or in one of her novels too.
Heige works in Vancouver only a few days a month but runs her own studio - 'HB Hair Beautiful' - on the Sunshine Coast the rest of the time.
Quentin
The official 'meet & greet'
General dogsbody (but honestly a bit of a slacker).
Other duties:
Tug-o-war/barking at dogs/gazing at the treat counter/licker of ankles.
Luca
Saturday Boy
Helps out on a busy Saturday. Always willing to please. Best skill - an innocent face to say he's not barking; it's only Quentin.
